สมวงศ์ ทัพพรัตน์ เป็นศิลปินที่มีผลงานออกสู่สายตาสาธารณชนมาอย่างต่อเนื่องถึง 36 ปีเต็ม นิทรรศการเดี่ยวครั้งนี้เป็นครั้งที่ 11 โดยได้นำเสนอผลงานจิตรกรรมทั้งเทคนิคสีน้ำและสีน้ำมันรวม 100 ชิ้น ภายใต้หัวข้อ “ธรรมชาติ มิติในความว่าง”
ศิลปินใช้สาระของธรรมชาตินำพาไปสู่ความสงบทางใจและเกิดความพึงพอใจต่อการใช้ชีวิตแบบเรียบง่าย แต่สิ่งที่สำคัญยิ่งคือ สาระของรูปทรงที่แทรกตัวอยู่ในความว่าง และบรรยากาศของช่วงเวลาต่าง ๆ ที่เป็นไปตามกฎเกณฑ์ของธรรมชาตินั้น ได้สร้างความงดงามอันน่าประทับใจสำหรับเขา ซึ่งสาระของธรรมชาติที่ประทับใจเป็นเพียงการกระตุ้นในเบื้องต้น แต่ด้วยการฝึกสมาธิตามแนวทางของพระพุทธศาสนาจึงเกิดจากการพิจารณาและมุ่งลึกสู่การเปลี่ยนแปลงที่เกิดขึ้นท่ามกลางความว่าง
การปรากฏของรูปลักษณ์ในธรรมชาติกับความว่างที่นำเสนอโดยใช้บรรยากาศของสีเป็นหลักในผลงานจิตรกรรม ได้สร้างมุมมองของการทวนกลับไปมาระหว่างรูปลักษณ์กับความว่าง และเห็นความซับซ้อนของมิติในความว่างที่เปลี่ยนแปลงไปตามกาลเวลา สิ่งเหล่านี้คือ ความงาม ความจริงในผลงานที่มุ่งมั่นแสดงมิติของความสงบเย็น
ผลงานจัดแสดง ณ พิพิธภัณสถานแห่งชาติ หอศิลปะ ถนนเจ้าฟ้า กรุงเทพฯ ระหว่างวันที่ 15 พ.ย.61- 28 ธ.ค.61 เปิดให้เข้าชมทุกวันพุธ-อาทิตย์ ระหว่างเวลา 09.00-16.00 น (ยกเว้นวันจันทร์ วันอังคาร และวันนักขัตฤกษ์)
ทั้งนี้จะมีพิธีเปิดโดยคุณบุญชัย เบญจรงคกุล ในวันเสาร์ที่ 8 ธันวาคม 2561 เวลา 18.00 น.
“Nature, the dimension of space” by Somwong Tapparat
Somwong Tapparat has been publicly known for 36 years for his artistic skills. This exhibition is remarked as hid 11th solo exhibition which showcase his 100 watercolor and oil color paintings under the theme of “Nature, the dimension of space.”
The artist applies essence of nature that leading to peacefulness and simple way of life. Besides, he is mostly impressed by essence of form that blended in space and scenery of each moment following the law of nature. The aforementioned impression is only initial stage of his motivation. However, it is by meditating that leads him to observe deeply in changes among the space.
The appearance of form in nature and space that portrays through of color in paintings encourages their viewer to examine the changes in complicated dimension of space. These are beauty and truth in the artworks that aims to express the dimensions of calm.
The exhibition is on view from 15 November – 28 December 2018 at the National Gallery in Bangkok, 9 am to 4 pm daily (closed on Mondays and Tuesdays).
The opening ceremony is on Saturday 8 December 2018 at 6pm, to be presided over by Mr. Boonchai Bencharongkul
