นิทรรศการ ” ไกลก็เหมือนใกล้ ” จะนำพาสายตาทุกคู่ไปสู่สัจธรรมแห่งความไม่จีรังของความมืดและความสว่าง กับสิ่งที่เรามองเห็นหรือรู้สึกในขณะนี้ เราจะสามารถฝันถึงความอุ่นใจได้ต่อไปอีกหรือไม่ ตั้งแต่วันที่ 13 ตุลาคม พ.ศ. 2559 ความมืดได้ปกคลุมความรู้สึกของคนไทยเป็นต้นมา แต่เมื่อเวลาผ่านไปความสว่างก็ส่องลงมาอีกครั้งให้ได้ซาบซึ้งถึงสิ่งที่ในหลวงรัชกาลที่ 9 ได้เคยพระราชทานให้กับเรา การสูญเสียและความสิ้นหวังในครั้งนี้ ศิลปินได้ถ่ายทอดประสบการณ์การก้าวผ่านความมืดมน ทำให้เขาวาดภาพขึ้นอีกครั้งจากแสงสว่างที่พระองค์ท่านได้ทรงมอบไว้ ถึงแม้ความสว่างนั้นจะไม่ได้ส่องสว่างในความจริงอีกต่อไป
การผสมผสานระหว่างภาพพิมพ์และการเขียนภาพสีอะคริลิค อภิชาติ ฐิติวงศ์วรสกุล ใช้เทคนิคการตัดกันของแสง เช่น สื่อเรืองแสงในที่มืด วาดภาพเหตุการณ์สถานที่ และบุคคลที่มีอิทธิพลต่อความรู้สึกของเขาในรูปแบบที่ไม่มีแบบแผน แสดงถึงช่วงเวลาของการสูญเสียและความเปลี่ยนแปลงที่เกิดขึ้นแล้ว แต่คนที่อยู่อย่างเรา ยังคงต้องดำเนินชีวิตกันต่อไป เพียงแต่ระยะห่างของความทรงจำยังคงไม่ไกลเกินจะลืมเลือน

อภิชาติ ฐิติวงศ์วรสกุล ( อาร์ต )
ประวัติ : จบการศึกษาจากคณะศิลปกรรมศาสตร์ (จิตรกรรม) จากจุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย ในปี 2002
อภิชาติ ฐิติวงศ์วรสกุล เริ่มศึกษาการวาดภาพพื้นฐานและเพ้นท์กับอาจารย์ สมวงศ์ ทัพพรัตน์ และ เริ่มศึกษาศิลปะเชิง abstract และ conceptual กับรองศาสตราจารย์ จิระพัฒน์ พิตรปรีชา ที่จุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย งานแสดงเดี่ยวจัดขึ้นครั้งแรกหลังจากจบการศึกษาในปี 2003 ในหัวข้อ “Soccer Lovers” งานของคุณอภิชาติได้รับอิทธิพลและแรงบันดาลใจมาจากศิลปินหลายคน เช่น Gerhard Richter, Joseph Beuys, Rebecca Horn, Marcel Duchamp, Neo Rauch

“ Never Far From ” By Apichart Thitiwongworasakul
“ On 13th of October 2016, My beloved King Bhumibol Adulyadej of Thailand passed away. For Thai people, he is like a shining light that leads us but on that day there was nothing but darkness. Til this day he still remains as a light in my heart and the people of Thailand forever. ” – Apichart Thitiwongworasakul
Never Far From is a story of darkness and light, what is seen as opposed to what is no longer within our sight. What is perceived by our eyes or is known to us gives us a sense of comfort. But what if that reassurance was gone? Can we still draw hope from it? On October 13th 2016 the people of Thailand felt nothing but darkness but soon after many were reminded of the light that our beloved King Rama IX had given us. The immediate reaction was of lost and despair, the artist explains through his work that after the darkness had passed he was able to once again draw from the light that his majesty provided and even though he is no longer with us his light continues to shine.
Through a combination of mediums of screen printing and acrylic painting the artist, Apichart Thitiwongworasakul expresses the contrast of light and dark drawing from different techniques such as a glow in the dark medium. Images painted of seemingly random locations and people in his life ultimately depict as sense of normality within a time of despair, things have changed yet they are still the same. What is thought of as a distant memory still remains near to us.

Apichart Thitiwongworasakul began to study basic drawing and painting in 1997 with Professor Somwong Thapparat and continued to study abstract painting and conceptual art with Professor Jirapat Pitpreecha at Chulalongkorn University. His first solo exhibition took place after graduated in 2003 titled “Soccer Lovers”. His work has influences and inspirations from many artists including;
Gerhard Richter, Joseph Beuys, Rebecca Horn, Marcel Duchamp, Neo Rauch Raymond Pettibon.
