นิทรรศการ “วราวุธ ชูแสงทอง : ในคอลเล็คชันของนักสะสม” นำเสนอผลงานจิตรกรรมและผลงานวาดเส้นของ วราวุธ ชูแสงทอง ศิลปินภาพเหมือนผู้มีชื่อเสียงเป็นที่รู้จักอย่างกว้างขวางในวงการศิลปะร่วมสมัยของไทย ภาพพอร์ทเทรตอันงดงามด้วยเส้นสีฝีแปรง แสดงให้เห็นถึงทักษะความสามารถอันเป็นเลิศในการเขียนภาพบุคคล ทั้งยังบ่งบอกถึงความแม่นยำในเชิงกายวิภาคศาสตร์และสรีรวิทยา บอกเล่าเรื่องราวของอารมณ์ความรู้สึก ตลอดจนรสนิยมทางสุนทรียศาสตร์ของศิลปินที่มีต่อบุคคลผู้เป็นแบบในภาพด้วย
วราวุธ ชูแสงทอง เป็นศิลปินภาพเหมือนที่สร้างสรรค์ภาพเขียนอันงดงามและลุ่มลึกด้วยเสน่ห์ การใช้สีของเขามีเอกลักษณ์โดดเด่นเฉพาะตัว ทั้งในแง่ของการให้น้ำหนักสีและทีแปรงตวัดปัดป้าย ผลงานภาพเหมือนบุคคลของเขาแสดงให้เห็นทั้งบุคลิกภาพของผู้เป็นแบบและรสนิยมในการแสดงออกทางความงามของศิลปิน ผลงานของเขาได้รับความนิยมเป็นอย่างมากในการสะสมของนักสะสมงานศิลปะระดับประเทศ และในนิทรรศการครั้งนี้ ผลงานทั้งหมดเป็นผลงานสะสมจากนักสะสมชั้นแนวหน้าของเมืองไทย อาทิ คุณพงษ์ชัย จินดาสุข ผู้ก่อตั้ง เขาใหญ่ อาร์ต มิวเซียม และ คุณสมบูรณ์ นวกานนท์ เจ้าของบริษัท กวงเชียง เฟรมแอนด์ซัพพลาย จำกัด
อาร์เดลเธิร์ดเพลส แกลเลอรี เปิดให้เข้าชมทุกวันจันทร์ – เสาร์ 10.00 – 18.00 น. (ปิดวันอาทิตย์)

At ARDEL’s Third Place Gallery (Thonglor soi 10)
Warawoot Shusaengthong: The Selected Collection is a showcase of paintings and drawings by Warawoot Shusaengthong, an acclaimed Thai contemporary artist. His portraiture depicts not only the aesthetic from skillfully-drawn lines and brushstrokes but also the precision in anatomy and physiology. His art conveys emotions along with his taste in the science of art towards the subjects in his work.
Warawoot Shusaengthong is a portrait artist who has created enchanting pieces of art with notable use of colors, the tones of color value as well as brushwork. Presenting both the character of the models and his appreciation in savoring beauty, his works of art are widely recognizable among Thai art collectors. The arts on display in this exhibition also belong to Thailand’s forefront collectors such as Mr. Pongchai Chindasook, founder of Khao Yai Art Museum and Mr. Somboon Nawakanon, owner of Kuang Chieng Frame & Supply Company Limited.
